The New Wine consists of four young men aged 19 to 22 all residing in the musical capitol of Norway, Bergen [sic!]. Genre-wise, one could say that The New Wine plays danceable synth-based pop, with light guitar riffs, funky bass and steady beats. Natural references would be acts as diverse as Michael Jackson, LCD Soundsystem, The Whitest Boy Alive, Toto and Koji Kondo (acclaimed Nintendo-composer). The passion for making danceable music is strong within The New Wine. Even though they are young of age, they prove having both musical maturity and companionship. “Old wine in new bottles? These gentlemen from Bergen present a fruity mix of The Whitest Boy Alive, Phoenix and even some Italodisco. The result is a slightly synthetic brew, perfect for swinging. Best thing of all is that you do need to drink half a bottle of wine to do so. A few songs of The New Wine suffice.
